About Cayla

Growing up in a small, Oregon town never stopped Cayla from following her passion for film and television.  From a young age, Cayla started writing short stories and poetry.  This love of writing soon mixed with her love for Television and she started writing her own television episodes.  

She left Oregon to study at Chapman University in Southern California, and earned her BFA in Television Writing and Production.  In her last two years of school she had the opportunity to write two short films as well as an episode of a web series that were then produced, as well as develop two of her own pilots and write various spec scripts.

Her passion is writing quirky character driven comedies,  as well as telling female and LGBTQIA stories.

Cayla is excited to continue to pursue her passion for television and comedy in Los Angeles and is currently working on a web series along with personal writing projects.
